Three people have been taken to hospital after a motorcycle sped out of control near Yonge and Charles Streets on Wednesday.
The bike, believed to a contest prize ready for display, was being unloaded from a truck on Charles Street when the driver inadvertently sped across the sidewalk on the vehicle.
Just after 2:30 p.m., the motorcycle hit an elderly man and woman and then slammed into the side of a building.
All three people were taken to the hospital with injuries.
The elderly pair suffered minor wounds while the driver is reported to have head injuries.
The driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
All are expected to recover.
Toronto police closed Yonge Street from Bloor Street to Wellesley Street on Wednesday afternoon.
No charges have been laid and police are still investigating.
