Conservatives ‘counting on’ NDP to vote non-confidence, topple Trudeau government Monday

Conservative MP Andrew Scheer says his party is “counting on” the NDP to vote in favour of the non-confidence motion tabled by Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre on Thursday morning and help topple the Liberal government. “We expect the NDP will support that, that they would not swallow themselves whole, and demonstrate the heights of their hypocrisy to Canadians,” Scheer said in the House of Commons, referring to NDP leader Jagmeet Singh’s recent criticism of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
