Group of motorcyclists spotted riding dangerously through Mississauga, Toronto

Police are sounding concern after a swarm of motorcyclists was spotted speeding and pulling stunts on roads throughout the GTA Sunday.

Dozens of motorcyclists were caught on film speeding around other vehicles and doing tricks on the road in the north end of Mississauga and later, on The Queensway in Toronto.

“Riding in a group itself is not illegal, but obviously when it comes to popping wheelies and going through red lights, our concern is for the safety of the drivers of the motorcycles themselves and also for the other drivers on the roadway and also for pedestrians,” Const. Harinder Sohi of Peel Regional Police said.

Police believe that one of the vehicles was eventually involved in a fiery crash at Dundas Street and Cedarglen Gate in Mississauga.

No injured party was located, but police said they believe the driver abandoned the bike and rode off with one of the other motorcyclists.

Police are trying to identify the owner based on the charred remains of the motorcycle.

The group was last spotted heading east on Highway 401 through Durham Region.
