The eastbound collector lanes of Highway 401 at Avenue Road have reopened following a motorcycle collision on Wednesday afternoon.
Traffic in the eastbound collectors was backed up as far as Keele Street after the driver of a motorcycle was struck by a vehicle at around 1:30 p.m.
A male patient suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital in critical condition.
The O.P.P closed down all lanes of the highway for several hours as officials worked to investigate the collision.
