Hwy. 401 lane reopens after motorcycle, truck crash

Provincial police have reopened part of Highway 401 after a collision between a motorcycle and a pick-up truck early Friday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police said a motorcycle was travelling westbound on the 401 near Avenue Road at about 6:45 a.m. when it rear-ended a pick-up truck.

Police said the male driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital with head injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck wasn’t injured.

The motorcyclist is said to have serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A westbound express lane was temporarily closed for police investigation. The lane was reopened early Friday afternoon.
