The OPP says a male motorcyclist died after he lost control of his vehicle on Highway 407 in Vaughan on Saturday night.
Police were called to Highway 407 at Pine Valley Drive sometime before 8:30 p.m. for a report of a motorcyclist down.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the adult male was riding a motorcycle in the highway’s eastbound lanes but somehow lost control and came to rest on the westbound side.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It does not appear any other vehicles were involved.
Police closed three eastbound lanes of the highway and one westbound lane to allow for an investigation. They were re-opened at 9:45 p.m.
