PICKERING, Ont. – Durham regional police say a 76-year-old man remains in serious condition after being thrown from his motorcycle in a collision with an SUV in Pickering.
Police say the Ajax man suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision Thursday at the intersection of Brock Road and Taunton Road.
He was taken to the Ajax-Pickering Hospital and then transferred by air ambulance to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.
Police are trying to determine what caused the collision.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or use of electronic devices were to blame.
The collision happened the same day Durham police expressed concern about the number of serious motorcycle crashes in the region.
