A man, believed to be in his 40s, is dead and a woman is being treated for undetermined injuries following a motorcycle accident near Scugog Tuesday evening.
Durham police say the pair was on the motorcycle when it left Regional Road 57, just north of Cedardale Road, and struck a hydro pole shortly after 7:30 p.m.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
