A 23-year-old Guelph man is in critical condition after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Oakville Saturday night.
Halton Regional Police say they responded to a call about a crash at the intersection of Dundas Street and Eighth Line just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
An Acura SUV was making a left-hand turn through the intersection when it collided with a motorcycle, police said in a news statement.
The motorcycle driver was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
A passenger from the SUV was also seriously injured, but is expected to recover fully.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision, the statement said.
The intersection was closed for investigation but has since re-opened. Police are asking anybody who witnessed the crash to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
