Motorcyclist dead after crashing into car in Mississauga

A 31-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle crashed into a car in Mississauga.

The man was riding his motorcycle near Tedwyn Drive and Cawthra Road on Saturday night when the crash occurred.

Police said they received a call about the incident just after 11 p.m.

Officers arrived at the intersection and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car’s driver, a woman, remained on scene and co-operated with authorities, Peel police Const. Fiona Thivierge said.

She added that the motorcycle’s speed was definitely a factor in the crash.

Roads in the area were closed while officers investigated, but have since reopened.
