A male motorcyclist is dead following a collision on Broadview Avenue on Monday morning, Toronto Police said.
Police were called to the scene of the crash on Broadview just south of Danforth Avenue at approximately 8:30 a.m., where they found what appeared to be a single vehicle collision.
It appeared that the driver crashed into a lamp post, Const. Clint Stibbe told CP24. As they attempt to piece together the circumstance surrounding, Stibbe said investigators are exploring the possibility that other vehicles may have been involved.
The driver of the motorcycle has not been identified, but Stibbe said he believed the man was in his mid-30s.
A section of Broadview south of Danforth was completely closed Monday morning, as the reconstruction team investigated the crash. The area reopened shortly after 11:30 a.m.
As part of the investigation, Stibbe asked that any witnesses contact police at 416-808-1900 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
