Motorcyclist killed in head-on two-vehicle crash

HAGERSVILLE, Ontario – A motorcyclist has died after a two vehicle head-on crash this weekend near Hagersville, on the north shore of Lake Erie.

Ontario Provincial Police say the collision involved a 2009 Ford pickup truck and an orange Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Police say the pickup truck was travelling northbound around 4 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, the two drivers’ collided head-on.

The driver of the pickup, an 89-year-old Hagersville man, was not injured.

The 49-year-old motorcyclist from Waterford was taken to the West Haldimand General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing.
