Motorcyclist, passenger seriously injured in crash

TORONTO – A motorcyclist and his passenger are in serious condition after the man lost control of the bike and crashed into a pole in Toronto.

Police say on Sunday around 3:50 p.m. a 39-year-old man was driving with a 23-year-old passenger on Rosedale Valley Road.

The man was attempting to pass another vehicle when he crossed the centre lane into the path of an eastbound vehicle.

Police say the driver lost control, striking the curb and a utility pole.

Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
