Murder charge laid after man stabbed outside Vancouver Starbucks dies

Paul Stanley Schmidt, 37, was stabbed outside the Starbucks at the corner of Granville and West Pender streets around 5:40 p.m. on Sunday following a “brief altercation,” according to police. Schmidt was rushed to hospital, where he later died. The suspect, 32-year-old Inderdeep Singh Gosal, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with second-degree murder. Police are asking if anyone witnessed what happened to come forward, and not share videos of the scene on social media.
