Speeding motorcyclist attempts to hide between parked cars: police

BURLINGTON, Ont. – Police say a motorcyclist who allegedly zoomed past a speed trap in Burlington, Ont., was eventually caught — through a much slower pursuit — hiding between two parked cars.

A Halton Regional police officer conducting radar enforcement clocked a motorcycle speeding at 128 kilometres per hour in a 60 kilometre-per-hour zone Monday night.

Police say the officer couldn’t safely stop the motorcyclist and watched him travel out of sight.

They say the officer “methodically” followed the motorcyclist on the same road and found him trying to hide between two parked cars.

The 28-year-old man from Mississauga, Ont., faces charges including racing, speeding and using plates not authorized.
