Motorcyclist, 25, dies in St. Catharines crash

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — A 25-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle and a van collided in St. Catharines.

Police say the man was riding a motorcycle last night when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, crossed the centre line and entered oncoming traffic (near St. Paul Street West at Bellevue Terrace).

His bike was then hit by an oncoming van.

The bike rider, who was from St. Catharines, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 47 year-old driver of the van was taken to hospital and has since been released.

The collision remains under investigation.
