Motorcyclist seriously hurt in west-end Toronto crash

A motorcyclist is in hospital with skull fractures and kidney damage after colliding with a car on Saturday afternoon in downtown Toronto.

The 26-year-old male was taken to St Michael’s Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries from the crash, which took place at Queen Street West and Gladstone Avenue at about 2 p.m. police said.

The incident occurred after the car, which was travelling eastbound on Queen St. W., made a left turn in an attempt to travel northbound on Gladstone Ave.

The motorcycle was travelling westbound on Queen St. W., and lost control hitting the right side of the car.

Police said the rider was wearing a helmet and is not expected to suffer any brain damage.
