Motorcyclist killed on Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway

TORONTO – A 26-year old Sharon, Ont. man is dead after crashing his Honda motorcycle on Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway.

It happened Saturday evening around 6:30 in the east-bound lanes near Cherry Street.

Police say Jason Corey Gauthier lost control, hit the centre barrier and was thrown from his bike into the west-bound lanes where he was struck by a car.

Gauthier was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say he may have been in the company of three other motorcycle riders at the time of the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
