A 65-year-old man from Barrie, Ont., was taken to hospital in critical condition after losing control of his motorcycle on the southbound Highway 400.
According to an OPP media release, the man was forced to brake suddenly when traffic slowed in a construction area south of King Road, in the Township of King, at about 10:55 a.m. on Saturday.
Police say the motorcycle went down and slid down the highway. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The man was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital.
The collision remains under investigation.
